The symetrical dagger shape lends itself well to pattern-welded steel.
Pattern-welded steel, sometimes called "Damascus steel", is the
result of forging many layers of different steels and manipulating them by
twisting, hammering, folding, or cutting to create different patterns in the
steel. The steel is then etched to bring out the resulting pattern.
Each of the following pieces is entirely hand-made and one-of-a-kind. Making a
piece of pattern-welded steel requires hours at the forge. These knives are
made as quality knives first - esthetics comes second. The result is an
heirloom quality tool that will last a lifetime and beyond.
Each of the following blades is entirely unique. I am not taking commissions
at this time.
