8675 Above. ▲ Dagger with Ladder Pattern Damascus Blade. Blued Steel fittings with African Blackwood handle. Overall length is 11 inches. The blade is 6 ½ inches long by 1 1/16th inch wide. The blade is all tool steel (1084/15N20). With hand tooled black leather sheath. $525

The handle is darker than the photos show but is not absolutely black. African Blackwood is a far more durable wood than Ebony which splits easily and is prone to cracking over time. African Blackwood is the wood that reed instrument makers use because of its ability to withstand temperature and moisture changes with little adverse effect.
